Response to Kirby's blog

I agree with what Kirby said about how you laugh at your best friends when they have an accident. Nothing entertains me more than watching people suffer with embarrassment. Even when I myself am embarrassed or have an accident, I still think that it is hilarious. I think that it is true about how if your best friend fell over on his bike then you would laugh, where as if you saw some random person on there bike and fall then you would be sure the person is ok first then laugh about it later on when you are with your good friends and family. Ive learned in my life though, that when your mom falls down that you probably should not laugh at her. I did that one time and it was really awkward because she asked why I would laugh at her for getting hurt.

  1. Falling moms are generally not funny: that is very true. So I guess the formula is, if the relative is too close, it's not funny, and if they are not close enough, also not funny. What's the special friendship/comedy connection?
